The Sunday Reset for Founders Who Don't Get a Day Off

Thirty minutes. Household, work, and recovery on one page. Then the week can actually start.

Sunday night used to be Slack plus guilt. I would "catch up," which meant opening every thread and going to bed already behind.

I don't get a day off in the brochure sense. Two kids. Clients. Deals. Aura. Maliguna. Ayana. If recovery is not on the page, it does not happen. Same rule as a commercial system.

So I built a 30-minute reset. Three columns. One page. I still decide. The week starts because I told it where to start.

Three columns. Not 14 apps.

If the reset takes more than half an hour, it is a project. Kill it. The page has three jobs only.

The Sunday page

  1. Household. School, food, rides, the thing that will explode by Wednesday if you ignore it. Two or three items. Not the whole family operating system.
  2. Work. The one number or deliverable that makes the week true. Not every client. One owner. One next step.
  3. Recovery. Sleep, a walk, a table, a no. Designed in. Not "if I have time."

What does not go on this page: the kids as a task list. The relationship as a KPI. The room you want to be in. Those stay human. I will not automate them. I will protect the time they need by being honest about the rest.

Recovery is not a reward for finishing the week. It is how the week is allowed to exist.

How I actually run the 30 minutes

I sit down with the calendar and last week's mess. I do not open email first. Email will invent a fourth column.

Minutes 1 to 10: household. What would make Thursday ugly if I skip it.

Minutes 11 to 20: work. One page. What I am unsure about. My next physical step. If a client thread is a novel, it becomes a brief, not a Sunday spiral.

Minutes 21 to 30: recovery. Name the job for the body this week. Sleep, energy, or stress. Three things max. If I already have an Aura protocol, I pick 3 from it. If I don't, I generate one at wellnessbyaura.com and I still decide.

Steal this. Paste it Sunday.

You are my Sunday reset. One page. Three sections: Household (3 items max), Work (the one thing that makes the week true, plus my next physical step), Recovery (sleep or energy or stress, 3 things I will actually do). Constraints: mom of two, full calendar, I travel. Do not flatter me. Do not add a fourth section. Do not put kids, the relationship, or live sending on this page. I still decide.

You'll know it worked if Monday morning does not require a negotiation with yourself.

Work-life balance is this page, repeated

I built Aura because the body needed the same treatment as the company. A named job. A protocol. A human on the number.

Maliguna is the longer version of column three. Place as health infrastructure. Escape. Rejuvenate. Belong. You don't need a campus for Sunday. You need a walk, a table, and a no. The 48-hour version comes later. This is the weekly one.

If you want the body-job version of this, start with Work-Life Balance Is a Protocol, Not a Weekend. Same idea. Sleep, energy, or stress. Seven days.

The week does not start when Slack opens. It starts when household, work, and recovery have an owner.

Put recovery on the page

Generate a free Aura protocol for the recovery column. Then run the Sunday page this week. If the stack never gave you a life, More Living is built for that.

This is an operating habit, not medical advice. If sleep, energy, or stress needs a clinician, start there. You still decide.
